All Foreign employees are required by the labour law to have a work permit from the Ministry of Labour. See Labour Act 2017 Section 46:3 (http://docs.southsudanngoforum.org/legislation/labour-act-2017)
Below are some of the requirements for work permit applications. We advise members to consult with relevant authorities for changes/updates in the requirements.
- Collect form from Ministry of Labour take copy of passport when collecting the form.
- Staff member to fill the form
- Requirements from the staff member:
- 2 passport size photos (American size)
- CV
- Latest academic document
- Passport copy in colour
- Copy of the entry visa and the stamp of entry
- Organisations RRC registration
- Tax clearance
- Contract of staff member
- Submit at the Ministry of Labour
- All medical personnel/staff MUST get approvals from the Ministry of Health before their work permits can be processed. This process takes one-two months. MOH often requires applicants Yellow Fever card and Job description/Contract
