The Justice and Security Research Programme
This report is concerned with the routine experiences of people who seek justice or are brought to court, accused of a breach of the law. It also describes cases handled by human rights lawyers who are striving to make justice meaningful and accessible to citizens. The report provides a snapshot of everyday justice as it is functioning in practice. This is part of an effort to document citizens’ views and experiences of the justice system. The aim is to contribute to information-sharing in support of South Sudanese individuals and civil society groups seeking justice, working within the justice system, or making to efforts to improve it.
